Welcome to the Drug Action Team Online Directory

A brief introduction...

Welcome to the Birmingham Drug Action Team (DAT) Directory. Its aim is to provide a guide for anyone who may be experiencing problems with their own – or someone else’s – use of drugs, so that they can get help from the most appropriate service at the right time.

The directory is also intended as a resource for people working in drug treatment services or other professionals who may come across people who need support or treatment due to substance misuse.

The Birmingham DAT is a partnership of agencies from health services, local authorities, the probation and prison services and voluntary sector organisations.

We are responsible for making sure that the National Drugs Strategy is delivered at a local level and, as substance misuse is often linked with crime, we are part of the wider Birmingham Community Safety Partnership.

Our role is to make sure that all of the agencies involved work together effectively to provide and coordinate services so that the most appropriate support and treatment is available as quickly as possible for adults or young people with drug misuse problems.

We hope that you will find this directory simple to use and helpful and would appreciate any feedback you would like to give about this website or our services.
